East Temple

Home on the Range of Opportunities

Located between the excitement of downtown Temple and the wide open spaces of the prairie, East Temple, Texas, is balanced with a family feel and cultural character.

Small to medium ranch and cottage homes make up the tight-knit community of East Temple. Because of its proximity to agricultural areas, East Temple lots come in many shapes and sizes, with many offering extra room for families. Residents of East Temple also have convenient access to some of the city’s major industrial employers.

At the heart of East Temple is Wilson Park Recreation Center, a community gathering place that’s free for youth 18 and under, with adult memberships available. The Robinson Family Farm is an annual pumpkin picking pilgrimage for many, and the annual Bloomin’ Temple Festival is an annual springtime favorite.

The Cultural Activities Center in East Temple is an arts staple. Creativity is indulged at the center that presents music performance and visual arts exhibits, as well as invites Temple locals to participate in yoga classes, pottery skills workshops and other imaginative events.

Outdoors

Wilson Park Recreation Center has you covered outdoors and in. Youth can use the center for free and adults may join via membership to access basketball, sand volleyball and tennis courts; fitness equipment; game rooms; gymnasium; and locker rooms. Classes, camps and after-school programs are some of the events held throughout the year.

Wilson Park itself is a regular spot for organized sports, swimming at the outdoor pool and picnicking.

Pick a pumpkin or hail a hay ride for a rustic farming experience at the Robinson Family Farm. This family-friendly romping grounds hosts a springtime Easter Egg Hunt, and in the yuletide season, fresh-cut Christmas trees are available for purchase. During May and June, pick your own blackberries, or rent out the farm almost any time for a private party.
